WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS?

Our process is outlined in our Steps to Own You will need to provide information about yourself and the home you can provide a Golden. If we determine you are a good fit, approval is given to place a deposit. Puppy selection is an online process and occurs on a designated date around 6-7 weeks old. Puppy pick up occurs on a designated date, which is generally the first Sunday once they turn 8-9 weeks, but can vary due to holidays or our schedule. Please familiarize yourself with our ENTIRE process, before reserving a puppy.



WHY DO I NEED TO BE APPROVED TO RESERVE A PUPPY?  
Adding a pet to your family is a longterm commitment to its care and wellbeing. It is important to us that each of our puppies go to great homes that are not only excited but prepared to love and care for a dog! Step 1 will give you opportunity to share information with us. This step helps us vet potential families, and also determine if you are a good fit for one of our pups. 

 

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We are located in Missouri, about 30 minutes north of Columbia. 



WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU TAKE?
We only accept electronic payment (via Paypal) for tax and accounting purposes. We do not accept cash or checks.



ARE YOU A LICENSED KENNEL?
Yes, we are licensed and inspected by the state. We have a newly built, climate controlled facility. Our dogs have ongoing indoor/outdoor access, providing areas for running and play, as well as rest, shelter, and care. We heap lots of love and affection on them. They also have opportunities for  adventures at the pond, walks, or exploring our property.



HOW IS PICK IN THE LITTER DETERMINED?
Pick in the litter is determined by the order in which approved families place their deposit + reservation.

 

DO YOU GUARANTEE YOUR PUPPIES?

Our puppies come with a 2- year genetic health guarantee, which guarantees against life-threatening, crippling, and/or disabling congenital (genetic) health defects, as per the terms of our Puppy Adoption Contract.



WHAT TRAINING & CONDITIONING DO THE PUPPIES RECEIVE?
Our puppies are provided toys to stimulate their development and play. They are exposed to various sounds such as music, fans, doors, running water, etc. They are handled by adults and children, and introduced to our other dogs. Our puppies have indoor / outdoor access. This, combined with their natural desire to do their business away from where they sleep and eat, provides a good launchpad. We often receive great feedback that the pups are well on their way to potty training once home.



DO YOU ALLOW VISITS AND TOURS?
We do not arrange facility tours / visits. We adhere to strict biosecurity to protect the health and wellbeing of our dogs. We realize that all breeders have their unique approach and process. If you are not comfortable with our process, we respect that, and understand that another breeder may be a better fit for you. 



HOW DO I CHOOSE MY PUPPY?
Puppy selection happens on a predetermined date, when the puppies are about 6 weeks old. This is a completely online process. We provide a link to view individual photos and video of each pup. Families take some time to view these and choose their puppy. Families will choose in the order of the pick they have in the litter.  See Step 3 in our Steps to Own.



WHEN DO I PICK UP MY PUPPY? 
Each litter has a designated pick up date. This is generally the first Sunday, after the puppies have reached 8 or 9 weeks, depending on holidays and our schedule. Please reference your specific litter page for this date.  Families will have individual appointment times on this date to pick up their puppy at our location. 



CAN YOU SHIP MY PUPPY TO ME?
We do not offer shipping. Shipping means your puppy gets put in the cargo area, and this is not the experience we want our puppies to have when going to their new home. When our schedule allows, we will consider transporting the puppy in-cabin on a flight and delivering the puppy in-arms - at an airport near you - for a travel fee of $800. 



I'M IN ANOTHER STATE. HOW CAN I GET MY PUPPY?  
We serve families all over the country! Below our options multiple families have used.

Roadtrip 

Most families roadtrip. You can arrive at a hotel the evening before, and pick up their puppy the next day. This option is great, as you can plan for stops to allow your puppy to stretch and potty. 
 
Fly in to a surrounding airport, and back home with the puppy in-cabin.

If a roadtrip is not your cup of tea...you can fly into one of the surrounding airports, rent a car, and come pick up your puppy.  We are approximately 40 min from the Columbia (MO) airport,  2 hours from the St Louis airport, and 2.5 hours from the Kansas City airport. You will need to provide your own airline-approved soft carrier and be responsible for meeting your specific airline regulations for taking a pup in-cabin on your return. Please notify us at time of puppy deposit if this is how you plan to travel, so that we can plan accordingly.

 

Fly in, but drive home 

Some families choose to fly in to a surrounding airport, but drive home with the puppy, so they can stop for breaks.
